Bedridden recently (>3 days) or major surgery within 12 weeks

Paralysis, paresis or recent immobilization of lower extremities

Calf swelling >3cm compared to asymptomatic leg

Pitting edema confined to the symptomatic leg

Entire leg swollen

Collateral (nonvaricose) superficial veins present

Localized tenderness along the deep venous system

Previously documented DVT

Alternative diagnosis to DVT as likely or more likely

Active cancer

Score:

Reference Range

≥3 = High probability
1–2 = Moderate probability
≤0 = Low probability
